Therapy for Women

Your needs are a priority.

“I wish I felt more connected to my partner.”

“I wish they understood me better.”

“I don’t feel a spark with anyone.”

“None of my friendships feel deep or connected.”

Your relationships—the one with your partner, your friends, your kids, your boss—are a source of more and more stress these days. You don’t find enjoyment in the things you used to. Maybe you want to start making changes, but find that you can’t follow through. You’re noticing these patterns in your life and relationships, but feel stuck when it comes to taking action.

It’s possible to value yourself, trust yourself, know yourself better, and genuinely love who you are.

You deserve to enjoy your life and feel good about yourself.  Therapy can help you learn how to have healthy, fulfilling relationships.  You will learn to trust, respect, and honor yourself so that you can find more joy and fulfillment in life.

Things we can work on in therapy:

  • Learn to love yourself and live authentically

  • Prioritize yourself and your needs without feeling guilty

  • Feel connected and fulfilled in your relationships

  • Communicate with your loved ones in healthy ways

My approach to therapy for women

In psychodynamic therapy, we will explore your thoughts and feelings.  We will notice patterns in your emotions, thoughts, and beliefs to help you better understand yourself.

Childhood experiences often have a significant impact on our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors as an adult.  Our reactions to current circumstances are often influenced by past events, especially as a child.

We will look at your early experiences and family relationships.  Some of our work in psychodynamic therapy will be to increase self-awareness, self-reflection, and self-examination.  Some of the goals will be to acknowledge emotions, identify patterns, and improve relationships.

Investing in yourself is an investment in every area of your life.
